    Conservation of water-gilded and oil-gilded surfaces. Consolidation of flaking gilding, toning, and sympathetic inpainting of losses.

  • Condition reporting

    Detailed written and photographic condition reports for insurance, sale, loan, or your own records. Suitable for single works or whole collections.

  • Collection surveys

    Assessment of collections held by institutions, estates, or private collectors. Prioritised treatment recommendations and preventive care advice.

  • Preventive care

    Practical guidance on display, storage, handling, and environment for private clients who want to care for their collection at home.

Examination and consultation

I examine the work in person and we talk through your priorities and any constraints. No obligation at this stage.

Condition report and proposal

A written assessment and treatment proposal with a clear cost estimate. Work only begins once you're happy to proceed.

Treatment

Conservation is carried out carefully, with progress photography throughout. You're welcome to ask questions at any stage.

Return

Full treatment report, before/after documentation, and ongoing care recommendations.
